A: The Wiscard Office is located on the first floor of Union South, 1308 W Dayton St. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 5 PM.

Q: Who can participate in the Wiscard Account program?
A: Any student, faculty, staff, or affiliate with a valid Wiscard.

Q: How do I participate in the Wiscard Account program?
A: All you need to do is make a deposit into your account and start using your card.

Q: How do I gain access to the Wiscard online account management site?
A: If you are a student, faculty or staff member you just need to login using your NetID and password. Parents and guests will have to ask the account holder to set them up for Guest access. An email will then be forwarded to the Guest with instructions on how to log in.

Q: Where is the Wiscard Account accepted?

Q: What should I do if my ID card is lost or stolen?
A: Deactivate your card immediately by logging into the Wiscard account management site and then click on Suspend Lost/Stolen Card. You may also report your card lost to the Wiscard Office in Union South or any University Housing residence hall desk.

Q: How can I be sure the deposit I made on the website was successful?
A: You will receive a confirmation when the deposit has been completed. The cardholder can also log in and review their account balance and transaction history at any time.

Q: How much money should I put into my account?
A: The minimum deposit is just $15. If you plan to purchase textbooks and school supplies we recommend an initial deposit of at least $350-$450. For students living in University Residence Halls, an additional deposit of $300 is suggested to begin the semester.

Q: How do I know how much money is left in my account?
A: Each time a purchase is made the receipt will show your remaining balance. You can also check your balance and transaction history online.

Q: Can I withdraw money from my account?
A: The Wiscard Account is not redeemable for cash.

Q: Why don't I see all of my previous transaction history?
A: The Wiscard web site displays 6 months of transaction history. To get a report showing prior account activity you can send a request to wiscard@union.wisc.edu. Requests must originate from the account holder's campus email address. The request should include the 10 digit ID number and the specific date range you want to receive.

Q: What happens to my account balance at the end of the year?
A: Any funds remaining in your Wiscard Account will automatically carry forward from semester to semester.

Q: How do I close my Wiscard Account?
A: Complete the Close Account and Refund form located on the Wiscard Account Management site. You may also visit the Wiscard Office located in Union South. A refund check will be issued within 2-3 weeks if your balance is greater than $5 after a $10 administrative fee is deducted.
